A few things to know.
Why does my Dock move to another monitor?
macOS can move the Dock when the pointer reaches a display edge. This is especially frustrating when an external monitor sits above a MacBook. DockPin helps macOS keep using the selected display edge.
Does it work with every display layout?
DockPin works best when part of the chosen edge is exposed. If another display completely covers that edge, macOS may not allow reliable placement. Shared boundaries stay passable; hold Option to bypass a watched edge immediately.
Why does it need Accessibility permission?
DockPin observes pointer movement and briefly adjusts it near the selected edge. The app runs locally, makes no network requests, and does not collect analytics. Read the privacy details.
What happens when I unplug the display or quit?
When the target display is absent, DockPin temporarily uses an available display and keeps your original choice. Reconnecting or waking reapplies the pin. Quitting stops protection and nudges the Dock back toward the system default edge.
A little less friction in your day?
